Me in Real Life

I’m 28, and currently live in Ottawa Ontario. I’ve moved around a lot growing up and I like to think I have a pretty open concept of the world in general. I’m often wrong and realize I’m stubborn. I’m also left handed, not that it has anything to do with who I am as a person – or does it?

I do also have a personal blog I keep, people are welcome to view it over at this site here. Though I highly doubt anyone is THAT interested. I rarely update it these days, I tend to only update during immense emotional turmoil.

I haven’t been a gamer all my life (gasp) or even into fantasy all my life. I started playing MUDS around 17 and then moved on to EQ1 – two years later EQ2 came out and I started playing that. I’ve also played:

  • The Sims Online
  • World of Warcraft
  • GuildWars
  • Vanguard
  • LineageII
  • EverQuest
  • EverQuestII
  • Hero Online
  • Silkroad Online
  • Dungeon Runners
  • Dungeons and Dragons Online
  • Angels Online
  • EVE
  • Warhammer
  • Runes of Magic
  • Wizard101
  • Free Realms
  • The Lord of the Rings Online
  • Champions Online
  • Allods Online
  • Age of Conan
  • Aion
  • Fallen Earth
  • Star Trek Online
  • Lego Universe
  • Darkfall
  • Alganon
  • Pirates of the Burning Sea

People who get to know me may be a little surprised. I tend to be quite polite and refrain from acting crude in my writing – and I’m polite in person, but I am also quite open and talkative (ok so the talkative comes out in my writing I’m well aware).

I write for Beckett Massive Online Gamer – typically articles about Sony related games, but occasionally other games as well. I have also done some writing for MMORPG.com and MMOBin.com. I also run Nomadicgamer.com, which is a multi blogger site about gaming. I’m new to the freelance writer scene, but I’m having a blast with it. My friends and family are my life, and I owe them all so much. I also work for Beckett as a web site administrator, which means I troll the forums a lot and make a lot of posts there. Not exciting, but it’s fun none the less.

Some of the most incredible people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing I have met through gaming.
