That’s interesting. I picked the same souls for my cleric, but apparently wasn’t paying attention, and have been putting my points into purifier 🙁

@Scopique – to be honest, I’m probably going to switch my dps build over to an instance build, so I’ll have Sentinel / Warden / Purifier for Rifts, and I’m thinking maybe a Purifier / Druid / Sentinel (or warden) build for instances. I still haven’t decided yet, it’s so much trial and error to find out what’s a comfortable fit.

I was waiting for a Rift post from you…thanks for making one :).

Yes, bag space is way too limiting in Rift if you craft. And if you’re running around closing rifts during a zone event, your rift bag will fill up along with your other bags. Outfitters are gouging the heck out of us on the broker.

  4. I’m set up as:

Shaman/Druid/Justicar melee/healing hybrid for solo questing
Purifier/Sentinel/Warden for instance and rift healing
Cabalist/Inquisitor/Warden caster build for pure unadulterated damage

I needed that last one because being a healer in a large raid during rifts was killing my contribution. With such a crowd and all the splash healing flying around, it seemed no one needed heals and my dps was too low to make a dent on the leaderboards. So I switch roles depending on the size of the group. If it’s small, I always manage to rake in enough points to come out on top of the pack, no problem. When the group numbers start to swell, I switch back to casting while in between stages. I love how flexible we Clerics are!

Right now I’ve got a 22 mage as my “main” with a solo/dps role of Stormcaller/Elementalist/Dominator, and a 2nd role as a healer set as Chloromancer/Warlock/Dominator (love that squirrel!). I (surprisingly to me) haven’t been asked to be healer in ny groups yet, but last night in IT I perhaps should have, since our level 23 Chloromancer healer didn’t know that she could rez people, so I hadda swap over to my chloro build to rez the tank with the level 20 root ability.

Giving the other chloro the benefit of the doubt… possibly she didn’t have 20+ points spec’d into chloro and therefore didn’t have the rez. Of course if she didn’t have max points in Chloro up to about level 32 one wonders why, but that’s a whole ‘nother can of worms.

As far as levels go, my cleric is in 2nd place at level 16. I also have 2 roles, but haven’t set either of them up for dungeon groups or healing yet — I’m a Justicar/Shaman/Warden for melee dps and tanking in rifts, and I’ve also got an Inquisitor/Cabalist/Purifier build for if I’m feeling a bit more nuke-y while I’m doing my quests, and I’m finding to be an absolute blast to play.

Fro all that people like to complain that the world is small, it’s packed with content. My mage “should” be in Stonefield possbly 3 levels ago, yet I’m still trying to finsh all the quests in Freemarch — I even found a small hub I missed with gray (sadpanda) quests that I need to get through, plus I’ve got yet another quest sending me in to IT and that run will definitely take me to 23. Hopefully it will be the last Freemarch quest and I can move along. . . .
