So after reading this, I went, bought it and now I’m playing it. I got my own little cave going. Learning the in’s and outs the best I can. The wiki has been a godsend as I would have never understood how to craft things without it.

Now I just need to find and build fancier things as my cave doesn’t even have a door yet. I block myself in at night and dig my way out in the day.

Your posts always make me buy stuff: Vanguard subs, EQ2 subs, and now Minecraft.

I had a really great location but I died. Still haven’t found another map with a nice lava-fall that I can make a moat out of :/

    The zombie noises are unnerving.

Also: wut do when health be low?

@Dril – Eat food! Of course, first you need to cook it on the furnace. Bacon from the pigs is a good example. There are also mushrooms, and apples.

I haven’t found any mushrooms or apples. I finally figured out how to mine more advanced ores. :) I had an amazing spot but lost it. So I made a new cave near my spawn point. I have three exits (two with doors), hundreds of squares cleared to live in, two whole floors, dozens of torches set up. I haven’t got myself armor and weapons to fight the zombies yet, but maybe tomorrow.

I see I’m not the only one who got sucked in my Ark’s videos. The Minepedia at http://minecraftwiki.net is invaluable for answering starting questions. By the way, you don’t have to cook the pork you get from pigs, but it with heal you more if you do.
