I've always found that the game only really ends when you want it to. You can gain max levels, max your AA, get the best gear, but I've always found Norrath the kind of place you can just log into and "live" in. You can go see an innumerable amount of things in the game that you may have not experienced on your journey to max level and the events they have year-round are a lot of fun to participate in.

When you finally hit max level it's like you can finally take a deep breath and say "Ok, now I can go back and do THAT."

Great question!

You and I have both had incredibly different experiences of this game. I have my one main character, and have played very little else other than her. I have lots of little alts, and am coming close to my 3rd level 80 toon.

I have been asking myself when is it time to retire a character and move to your next?

Lately, I have been feeling very typecast. I love that people can depend on my girl to play her part well - but I have felt so restricted. So many people in guild swap it up and change to their alts all the time. They are gearing up their third fourth and fifth characters, while I struggle for the opportunity to play something other than my healer.

My main is almost but not quite 200aa .... she could still do with some T3 and T4 shard gear .... but it is nice to change things about sometimes. She will comfortably reach 200aa before the next expansion and the only upgrades she can get now comes from high end content and will take patience. So now is a good time to be able to work on something else completely different.

Heya Star,

Great to read your last few entries from all sorts of games and good to read you may be feeling better. For me a game is "done" once I finally find that the playerbase is dwindling enough for me to stop completely. Only UO and DAoC have done that to me so far, im mostly in Aion at the moment as im waiting on the next EQ2 expansion to come out before I start there again. (No not done with the game, just feel incredibly behind the curve on TSO)

Keep it up!

I quit when all the new stuff gets mixed up with all the old stuff in my head and I understand that the game has lost its power to astonish me.
