I don&#039;t get the whole comparison thing either. It&#039;s not *just* epeen, I get that much, but I don&#039;t think I&#039;m competitive in the right ways to understand why people care so much about DPS or heal meters or whatever. As long as the raid gets done, isn&#039;t that actually what matters? Maybe it isn&#039;t, when you&#039;ve been doing it for ages. (Again, dunno... I don&#039;t raid.)

I will say, however, that I used to know a guy who needed to put others around him down in order to somehow make himself appear better, rather than just being a good guy to begin with (which he really wasn&#039;t too far off being, that was the crying shame of it). It&#039;s not behaviour that&#039;s limited to MMOs, but it&#039;s really obvious when it&#039;s done in a primarily text-based medium, I think. Meh.</description>
