They are able to be traded, and they are also able to be sold - but to search for them on the broker you have to do a specific search under player-written or they won't show up (this prevents people from simply naming their books after crafting books or master spells and confusing players).

The only way you could 'litter' the world is to send them via mail - and yes, of course you could write that in a book and attempt to mail it out to a million players (which costs money each time you hit the send button).

The books use a rare component to craft, which deters negative aspects to some degree. Plus they are (currently) quite pricey on the broker. I'd rather focus on the positive aspects, because they far out weigh any negative.

RoM is a F2P game, I can certainly see how there would be more negative aspects then EQ2 where there are less spammers (although they are still there, they would have to be exceptionally dedicated in order to mail books out to players with their spam).

Ahh finally!. I'm very interested to see how these books function? Are they tradable and/or sellable? I read how to go about creating them, but my main concern lies in the negative aspects. No doubt nefarious players will try to litter the world with spam and grief.

How does this work? or is the system made in a way that you can't really use them to just litter the world with thousands of books that say "If yer reading this, then yer gay"?

I'm trying to make an argument for implementing a similar system into Runes of Magic, but everyone immediately is nay saying me, using the spam argument that they will just be used to ruin the game and annoy people.
