Not being a raider myself I found this interesting. We (our minute Guild) have talked about joining an alliance, but decided against it. On of the reasons is that myself and the Mrs have a small child and that can mean seconds notice before logging – at worst. Another is that it is hard to say you will be free that specific time. Since that would be rude to let around 20 other people suffer that we opted out.

I think the loyalty issue is important. The players word must count! Then again, people going back on their word will reap the fruit of that. It is often pointless to be mad with these kind of people. Cause – Consequence *might* be something the do understand.

    Again, interesting blog/rant.

A small request: whenever writing out names of zones and stuff…. please! At least ONCE type the full name, not just the shortened version. It feels alienating. And yeah… I’m a noob.

Edited my short forms to un-alienate the audience as per Akely’s suggestion – hope that’s better =)
